You Will
The Thermal Design team in Kista is now growing, and we are looking for a Thermal Designer to join a world-leading R&D environment. You will be part of a global team of 20+ highly skilled thermal engineers supporting product development in Sweden, Canada, and China.
Depending on your experience and development, you will:

Participate in the design and analysis of thermal management solutions for high-performance electronics

Run CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations to evaluate thermal performance

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement thermal solutions into product designs

Validate simulations through lab testing and prototype evaluations

Present analysis results and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders

Perform troubleshooting and support both internal teams and customers when needed

Stay up to date with trends in thermal design and cooling technologies

Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation tools and processes

Document lessons learned and support knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Thermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field

1–5 years of experience in thermal simulations or measurements

Solid understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
-
Skills in scripting (Python, MATLAB, C, etc.)

Experience with CFD tools (e.g., Flotherm, Fluent)
-
Familiarity with physical testing and lab validation
-
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
It’s a big plus if you’ve worked with AI/ML tools for engineering analysis. You’re comfortable working independently but thrive in team environments, enjoy supporting others, and are eager to take on technical challenges.
