Tool engineer to Artifex Systems
We are now looking for a Tooling Engineer for Artifex in Skara!
Do you have experience with injection molding tools and want to work in a technically advanced and international environment? Do you enjoy a role where you can combine problem‑solving, quality focus and close collaboration with both colleagues and suppliers?
Artifex has clear ambitions for the future and is investing heavily in its tooling competence in Sweden and Skara, giving you the opportunity to step into a key role within the company. Perhaps you are the one we are looking for?
Your responsibilities
As a Tooling Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring robust, cost‑efficient and manufacturing‑optimized tooling solutions throughout the entire development process. You will work closely with product development, production and external toolmakers, acting as a crucial link between concept and finished product.
A central part of the role is to contribute early with a DFM perspective (Design for Manufacture) to ensure that components and tools are designed correctly from the start.
The role includes early manufacturability assessments, influencing design decisions and ensuring that tool concepts comply with Artifex specifications. You will follow the development from RFQ to final tool delivery, participate in tool trials and ensure that project timelines are met. The work involves close dialogue with suppliers in Europe and Asia, regular follow-ups and continuous focus on quality and risk mitigation.
You will become part of an experienced and stable team where knowledge sharing, humility and technical curiosity are at the core.
The role is full‑time, daytime, based in Skara.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in injection molding tools and a solid understanding of the technology required to create durable and repeatable plastic components. You thrive in environments where process, material and tooling meet, and you have the ability to drive your areas of responsibility forward — from design input to finalized solutions.
As a person, you are flexible, analytical and solution‑oriented. You enjoy a setting where the pace can shift and where quick decisions with solid technical judgement are sometimes required.
To succeed in this role, you need to be communicative, structured and confident in your interactions with both internal teams and international suppliers. You are skilled at building trust, work well independently and appreciate close cooperation with colleagues. Experience from the automotive industry and multi‑component or advanced injection molding is valuable. Experience with the CAD tool Catia is a merit but not a requirement.
You communicate fluently in both English and Swedish, and hold a B driver’s license.
About Artifex
Artifex is an international group within injection molding and plastic components, with a strong presence in both Europe and Asia. In Skara, you will join a senior, cohesive and highly skilled organization with strong engagement and technical expertise. The company is entering an expansive phase where investments and new ownership create strong development opportunities. Here, you will have the chance to influence, contribute and grow in an environment characterized by long‑term thinking, teamwork and high quality. Welcome to become a part of Artifex!
